Medical Management

Dr. JuraDr. James Jura, M.D., Medical Director

Dr. Jura works with adults over the age of 16. He provides medication management for depression, anxiety, psychosis and substance abuse. He is a board-certified psychiatrist and can prescribe SUBOXONE for office-based treatment of opioid dependence.


Laura WilloughbyLaura Willoughby, APRN

Licensed as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Laura sees children and adults for a variety of disorders including ADHD.  She enjoys working with school-aged children and youth starting at age 5.  Laura is a member of the Missouri Nurses Association.  She provides medication management in collaboration with Dr. James Jura.



Charla Markt, Psy.D.

Charla Markt, PsyDCharla is a licensed psychologist who provides therapy for issues ranging from depression to chronic disorders. She works with children, adolescents, families and adults. She also specializes in psychological evaluations, and treatment of anxiety, depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and childhood sexual abuse. Charla is the program director of the Psychological Assessments for Community Partners program.


Susan Shuman, PsyD

Susan Shuman, PsyD, Clinical Coordinator

A board certified psychologist, Susan works with school-aged children and youth both on an individual basis and with their families.  She works with a variety of behavior and disruptive disorders as well as childhood trauma and anxiety issues.  Susan also provides psychological evaluations.  She uses play therapy and a combination of cognitive behavioral and interpersonal therapy in her treatment plans.


Ron Carter, LCSW

Ronald Carter, MSW, LCSW

Ron is experienced in the treatment of adjustment disorders, aging, anger management, parenting skills training, depression, anxiety and other psychological disorders for adults and children.



Carole Scott, LCSWCarole V. Scott, MSW, LCSW, CADC

Carole works with adults and adolescents with adjustment, anxiety and depressive disorders and substance abuse. She counsels on issues related to women as well as marriage and divorce issues for individuals or couples.


Office Staff

We also have two front-desk workers, two business office employees, a registered nurse and administrative and development staff.  Our providers utilize these people on a daily basis to enhance their practice.
